By accessing or using the DocketHire website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
2. Description of Services
DocketHire provides legal virtual assistant staffing services, connecting law firms with trained remote professionals. We recruit, screen, and place virtual assistants, paralegals, and other legal support staff. DocketHire does not provide legal advice and is not a law firm.
3. Client Responsibilities
You are responsible for supervising virtual assistants placed through DocketHire, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and ethical rules, providing clear instructions and access to necessary tools, and maintaining confidentiality obligations to your clients. Virtual assistants work under your direction and you retain responsibility for all work product.
4. Payment Terms
Fees for DocketHire services are outlined in your service agreement. Payment is due according to the schedule specified in that agreement. Late payments may result in suspension of services. All fees are in United States dollars unless otherwise specified.
5. Confidentiality
DocketHire and its virtual assistants maintain strict confidentiality of all client information. All virtual assistants sign confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements before placement. We implement security measures to protect client data in accordance with industry standards.
6. Limitation of Liability
DocketHire is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the twelve months preceding the claim. DocketHire is not responsible for the unauthorized practice of law by any virtual assistant.
7. Termination
Either party may terminate services in accordance with the terms of the service agreement. DocketHire reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to our website for violations of these terms.
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles.
